This is a 32-year-old female who came to us with concerns of volume loss in her breasts following pregnancy. She is very physically active and wanted to avoid disruption of her chest muscles. We recommended bilateral breast augmentation in the subglandular plane. She selected Motiva Ergonomix, SmoothSilk, Demi, 380 cc implants.

❌ MYTH.

A tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) is designed to remove excess skin, tighten separated abdominal muscles, and create a smoother, firmer midsection—not to help you lose weight.

The best candidates are already close to their goal weight but are frustrated by loose skin or weakened abdominal muscles that don't improve with diet and exercise alone.

This is especially common after pregnancy or significant weight loss.

This is a 67-year-old female with a history of fibrocystic breast disease who underwent bilateral nipple-sparing mastectomy many years ago. She underwent implant-based reconstruction with another surgeon and presented with ptosis (drooping) of her bilateral reconstructed breasts. She underwent bilateral mastopexy, leaving her implants in place.
