PEPTIDES!!

Is your TikTok full of video? FB feed being taken over? They seem to be everywhere.

Loss of weight.

Recovery.

Improved gut function.

Aging.

Social media seems to make them appear as if they can cure almost all ailments.

News reports made it seem as though the FDA has recently granted approval for another six peptides. But they haven't.

Recently an FDA advisory board voted to recommend six peptides:

- BPC-157
- KPV
- TB-500
- MOTS-c
- Epitalon
- Semax

To possibly be added to a pharmacy-compounding list. That is a move toward advancing the regulatory process; however, it DOES NOT represent FDA approval for these peptides. The data supporting their use for the conditions being discussed will be needed before they can be considered approved. There are several FDA-approved medications containing peptides, such as:

• Insulin for the treatment of type one and two diabetes mellitus
• Certain semaglutide products used specifically for the treatment of type two diabetes mellitus, weight control and cardiovascular issues
• Tirzepatide products for the treatment of type two diabetes mellitus, chronic weight management and obstructive sleep apnea in certain obese adults
• Teriparatide for patients who suffer from certain forms of osteoporosis
• GHK-Cu is listed as a cosmetic ingredient.

The main thing to remember here? "FDA-approved," "eligible for potential compound preparation," and "undergoing research" are far removed from each other.

Research into peptides is amazing, and I have been doing my research for over a year. Reading book, reading trials, understanding the mechanisms of actions, the contraindications, the side effects and the benefits.

This is by far the best thing I have ever made! After a full day in the sun and at the beach, this is the first thing all of us grab after our shower.

Finally made more Body Butters today. A warm vanilla cashmere scent that absorbs into your skin. My daughters love it!

So we went to the river and came home and of course our skin was so dry and both of my girls asked for this!
It was the first thing I reached for after my shower because my skin was slightly burnt and so dry. Afterwards, my skin was nourished and so soft 🥰

The jojoba oil infused in vanilla beans, calendula and cardamom make it a slightly spicy flowery sent. My daughter told me “it’s a real scent not fake”
