Friends of JWC

Friends of JWC JWC strives to be the first place anyone turns when facing an unplanned pregnancy. All of our services are confidential and free of charge.

Free services include pregnancy testing, ultrasound, options consultations, pregnancy & parenting education, material assistance, and post-abortion support. Jewel Women's Center is a non-profit, life-affirming resource for individuals in our community faced with a pregnancy decision. We offer tangible assistance to our clients in a compassionate and Christ-centered environment by providing:
Option

s Consultations including lab-quality pregnancy testing, ultrasound, and STI testing;
Pregnancy and Parenting Education programs with earn while you learn opportunities to assist with baby items such as diapers, wipes and clothing;
Teen sexual health programs in many Schuylkill County school districts designed to encourage healthy choices for optimum physical and relational health;
Post-abortion emotional support for those struggling with a past decision.

On Saturday, we gathered for a special Volunteer Appreciation and Development Brunch to celebrate the incredible people who give their time, talents, and hearts to Jewel. We are deeply grateful for each one of them and the many ways they help make our mission possible!

We also looked ahead to our biggest fundraiser of the year—the Jewel Banquet, taking place October 8, 13, and 15.

We’re looking for 50 volunteers to host a table at one of our banquet nights! Table hosting is a simple and meaningful way to introduce others to Jewel!

Volunteer Appreciation & Development Brunch

We are so thankful for the volunteers who help make the mission of Jewel possible! Current volunteers — and anyone interested in learning more about serving with Jewel — are invited to join us for Thanks a Brunch, a special morning of appreciation, connection, and encouragement.

Join us as we celebrate our volunteers, share a preview of this year’s banquet theme “Known in the Battle,” and offer helpful tips for hosting a banquet table. This is also a great opportunity to bring a friend who may be interested in getting connected with Jewel!

Earlier this week, Jewel had the joy of hosting a special luncheon to honor and celebrate local pastors.

We are so grateful for the way they serve our community with compassion, faithfulness, and steady leadership. Their care makes a meaningful difference in the lives of so many, and it was a privilege to simply say thank you.

It was a pleasure to welcome representatives from Jewel Women's Center in Schuylkill Haven to my Harrisburg office this week.

I enjoyed meeting with Executive Director Alli Ball, founder Cheryl Cresswell, Kathy Nabholz and Patti Cataldo to learn more about the organization's work supporting women and families throughout Schuylkill County.

We had a great conversation about the services they provide and the positive impact they continue to make in the lives of those they serve.

Jewel Women's Center has been a valuable resource in Schuylkill County, and I appreciated the opportunity to learn more about its mission and the important work being done to strengthen our communities.
