Senior Crime Stoppers visited on Wednesday for fraud bingo! Marnie Stewart, president of Senior Crimestoppers, joined us all the way from Memphis to celebrate 30 years of our partnership! We are thankful for their support and look forward to providing a safe environment for our residents for many more years to come. Marnie also presented the facility with another interactive pet. Our residents love them!! ❤️

A few months back, another one of our team members heard the heartbreaking news of a cancer diagnosis. It is never a word anyone wants to hear! Regardless of age, race, s*x or anything else cancer steals so many people from family and friends. With her permission, I am posting here.

Renee Duke has been a member of the BHR team from the very beginning. Medical records is RENEE! She smiles, helps, visits, jumps in where necessary. Several months back, she was given a diagnosis of Hodgkins Lymphoma. She never missed a beat. PET scan scheduled, chemo treatments ordered and life just kept rolling. She wraps up treatments the end of October.

During this time, she has continued to work as she could but appointments and travel takes its toll on anyone both physically and financially. So with that, we are fighting along side of her. In other words, "we are putting our Dukes up"! We are offering the perfect size tote bags with the logo, side pocket and interior pockets for a $20.00 donation. All funds go to Renee to help support her and her family as they maneuver the next two and a half months.
