Your body was NOT built for 8+ hours of sitting 🪑⚠️

When you sit for long periods, your hip flexors tighten, your glutes “turn off,” and your low back takes on constant stress with very little movement variation. Over time, this can lead to stiffness, reduced hip mobility, and movement patterns that feel off when you stand, train, or even just walk 🧍‍♂️🔁

Research links prolonged sitting with increased risk of low back pain and decreased musculoskeletal function—especially when the day has little to no movement breaks 📉

The fix isn’t extreme—it’s consistency. Even short movement breaks every 30–60 minutes (standing, walking, or resetting posture) can significantly improve circulation, reduce stiffness, and keep your body functioning the way it was designed to 🏃‍♀️💨

Movement is medicine. Your body just needs more doses throughout the day 💊

Coming back from an injury often means a heavier focus on manual therapy early on 🏃‍♀️

Your hamstrings may not actually be “tight.” 😮

A lot of active people feel constant pulling, stiffness, or recurring tweaks in the hamstrings and assume they just need to stretch more. But many times the real issue is weakness, poor pelvic control, overload from training, or compensation from other areas.

Your hamstrings do a TON:
- help control running mechanics
- stabilize during lifting
- absorb force during sprinting and jumping

If other muscles aren’t doing their job, the hamstrings start working overtime… and that constant tension starts to feel like “tightness.”

Stretching can feel good temporarily, but if you never address the root cause, the feeling usually comes right back.
