Discover a new way to move, connect, and heal through Somatic Rhythms™, a new specialty class starting September 9 at Valley of the Sun JCC in Scottsdale.
Developed and facilitated by LRHA founder and director, Debra Davenport, this customized version of our Somatic Rhythms class serves the specific needs and challenges of individuals with Parkinson’s and mobility challenges.
This supportive, uplifting program uses somatic movement, self-expression, dance, props, percussion instruments, and musicality to build strength, flexibility, balance, proprioception, and neuroplasticity. Each class is purposefully designed to provide enjoyment, health benefits, and community.
Over the course of 6 sessions, participants will explore freeform and guided movement experiences that gently support the body in releasing anything that no longer needs to be held within.
Accompanied by an inspiring selection of music and guided mindfulness practice, Somatic Rhythms™ helps ease physical tension, encourage emotional release, and foster creativity in a safe and welcoming environment.
This unique program invites participants to move at their own pace while experiencing the joy of rhythm, connection, and healing through movement. No dance experience necessary.
