They are not just “tired.”
They may feel like they’re disappearing inside the weight of caring for everyone else.
They may look functional while silently drowning in anxiety, rage, numbness, grief, or shame.
They may desperately need help but feel terrified to admit they’re not okay.
They may mourn who they were before motherhood while deeply loving their baby at the same time.
They do not need advice, fixing, or reminders to “be grateful.”
They need to feel safe, seen, held, and supported without judgment.
Sometimes the strongest thing a mother can hear is:
“You don’t have to carry this alone.”
Pregnancy and postpartum can awaken old wounds, nervous system overwhelm, identity loss, and deep loneliness. Compassion changes everything.
Check on her. Sit with her. Bring food. Hold the baby so she can shower, sleep, cry, or breathe. Remind her she still matters too. 💛
