Wanted to share this story from yesterday:
“Today, we witnessed something that left us in awe.
From the moment our Lito (20, ASD and in crisis for more than 3 years), met Dr. Benjamin, there was an immediate sense of comfort and trust.
This is a young man who struggles deeply with regulation and human interaction, yet he sat with Dr. Ben, willingly answered deeply personal questions, made genuine eye contact, and seemed to connect with him in a way that is incredibly rare.
I sensed that Dr. Benjamin possesses a gift that goes far beyond what can be learned in school!
Of course, he has training and knowledge, but I believe he also has a natural gift of intuition.
Then came a moment that honestly brought tears to my eyes.
After Dr. Ben finished working with him, Lito laid face down on the table... completely still.
Not for thirty seconds.
Not for a minute.
For more than five full minutes.
No pacing. No fidgeting. No constant movement.
Just... peace.
If you know Lito, you know how extraordinary that is!
He is almost always in motion. Watching him rest so peacefully felt so profound that I quietly took a picture because I wanted to capture the moment.
For the first time in a very long time, it felt like his nervous system simply exhaled.
After years of searching, countless specialists, endless appointments, medications, and trying to piece together this incredibly complex puzzle, today gave us something we haven’t felt in a while:
Hope.
I don’t know exactly where this path will lead, but something about today felt significant.
Sometimes your heart recognizes something before your mind can explain it.
If you or someone you love struggles with nervous system dysregulation, chronic stress, or simply feels like your body is stuck in survival mode, I genuinely encourage you to consider seeing Dr. Benjamin Benulis in Scottsdale, AZ.
Today wasn’t just another appointment.
It felt like the beginning of a new chapter, and we are deeply hopeful for what lies ahead.”
