Fun is allowed to be the point of why you choose a fitness class. I'm okay with being the odd one out on this opinion. I found spin classes in a time where I was incredibly insecure, facing mental health struggles, health problems, body image struggles, and family issues. I was so terrified of the gym and worried about not fitting the group fitness mold. I didn't like working out it always felt like a punishment and it stressed me out. I don't like instructors of different modalities that I'd taken in the past because I felt like they weren't nice or relatable hahah...When I found spin and felt genuinely happier when I exited the building I knew that this was the movement for me. It wasn't based in aesthetics it was based in having fun and knowing that I was capable of doing something really challenging. Spin IS NOT EASY it's incredibly challenging and uncomfortable but truly in the best way. I built confidence every time I went into the spin room knowing that it was gonna be challenging as heck but knowing I would have a blast doing it and knowing I'd always have goals to work towards like new choreo or keeping the pace! If you enjoy the movement that should be a sign that it's meant for you. I will always strive to make my class a fun, safe, challenging space for all. Emphasis on fun and joy because we could all use a little more of that in our daily routine.💗
