After two years of writing, I am publishing a book.
It is called Optimize: The High Performer's Guide to Engineering Your Health, Hormones, and the Next 30 Years.
I want to be honest about why I wrote it.
I kept having the same conversation over and over in the office, with men who were doing everything right and still not getting answers.
They were training, eating clean, and managing their businesses at a high level.
By every external measure, they were succeeding. But something was off, and they could not find anyone who could tell them why.
The problem was not that the answers did not exist; it was that the system they were navigating was not designed to find them.
I have spent over a decade building a different model at Ethos. One that starts with the right questions instead of the standard panel. One that looks at the full picture instead of the single variable that is easiest to address. One that is built around what a high-performing person actually demands from their health, not what the average patient is willing to settle for.
What I kept running into was a gap between what conventional medicine offers and what this specific person actually needs. Not because their doctors were bad, but because the system trains physicians to identify problems they already know how to solve.
When your only tool is a hammer, everything looks like a nail.
That works until the problem in front of you requires something more.
I also wrote this book because I believe most men are making health decisions without a complete map. They are taking the right steps in the wrong order. They are addressing symptoms without understanding the system driving them.
They are getting normal on a lab result when what they actually need is optimal.
This book is an attempt to give the men I work with, and the men I will never meet in a clinic, a better map.
It is not a supplement guide or a biohacking manifesto. It is a clinical framework for high-performing people who are serious about understanding their biology and making decisions about their health with the same rigor they apply to everything else in their lives.
You do not need to be "sick" to read it. If you are waiting for that, you are waiting too long.
It will be available on June 22nd. See the link in the comments to pre-order it.
