- Responsible in accurately obtaining the Eligibility and Benefits information of patients with their insurances
- Ensures that the patient information as well as Insurance information given are correct
- Responsible in keeping the patient's Insurance information updated
- Must be keen to details/detail oriented
- Must be efficient and knows how to multitask
- Must possess strong English Communication Skills (verbal and written)
- Must have US HEALTHCARE INSURANCE work experience (preferably someone who has done Verification of Benefits before)

Tasks & Responsibilities
Review patient admission data and clinical documentation to ensure compliance with county and state regulations relating to medical necessity and case documentation; when appropriate, interview clients, significant others, and consult with existing out-patient team; consult with medical and treatment staff regarding patient diagnosis, medical justification, length of treatment, and case documentation; assess records for appropriate level of care and treatment, aftercare, and discharge planning for patients; advocate for required patient treatment with medical providers; provide training and information about utilization requirements to clinical, supervisory, and management staff; participate with departmental staff in utilization and quality improvement meetings and projects; letters, correspondence and comprehensive daily patient status summaries; and participate in state and federal audits of programs to ensure agency compliance on utilization review regulations.
Ability to:
* Communicate effectively in oral and written format (Above Average English Communications Skills)
* Maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
* Understand and apply state, federal and local regulations and laws governing quality assurance and utilization review.
* Work independently.
* Analyze treatment plans, which include the diagnosis of client behavioral and emotional problems.
* Use good judgment in order to make critical decisions about the medical necessity of treatment.
* Work in a high stress, chaotic environment.
