I’m not going to pretend I woke up one day feeling amazing and decided to shout out my method from the rooftops.
There has been a lot going on that has made the crawl back to healthy a slow trek.
Forgetting what I was saying mid-sentence. Wanting to crawl into bed the second I got out of it, then lying awake at night anyway. Stomach pain that didn’t change based on what I ate or didn’t eat. And tests that came back completely “fine” while I felt like a stranger in my own body.
I did what most desperate people do and I took matters into my own hands and used my own research to figure out what was actually going on, but not everyone has my background to do that.
“Fine” and “optimal” are two very different things, and we all know that one feels very different from the other.
That’s the whole reason I do this now. I don’t think it’s fair that we have to wait until we are “sick enough” for someone to pay attention.
Especially when it’s easier to fix earlier!!!
If you’re waiting to feel like yourself again, you’re probably not wanting to wait until your labs finally say you’re far enough along to qualify for care either.
If you’re anything like me, you want someone to actually look past your normal labs and tell you what’s real.
What’s your version of “man I feel like sh*t” right now? The fog, the sleep, the stomach stuff, the mood? Tell me below
