Most people have heard of PRP, but fewer know about PRF and the role it can play in healing after dental procedures.

PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) uses your body's own concentrated healing factors to support recovery after treatments like dental implants and extractions. By placing these healing factors directly at the surgical site, we can help optimize the healing process and support a smoother recovery.

When it comes to procedures like dental implants, the recovery is just as important as the treatment itself. That's why we're always looking for innovative ways to help our patients heal comfortably and achieve the best possible results.

When someone tells us they don't love going to the dentist, we take it as an opportunity to change that experience.

Our goal is for every patient to leave feeling informed, comfortable, and confident in their care. That means taking the time to listen, answer questions, explain what we're seeing, and never making you feel rushed or overwhelmed.

We're so grateful for patients who take the time to share experiences like this:
"I was absolutely FLOORED at their professionalism, technology and how understood I felt as a patient who generally doesn’t love the dentist."

Thank you for trusting our entire team with your care. πŸ’™

If you've been putting off your first dental visit because you're nervous or haven't had a great experience in the past, we'd love the opportunity to change that.

Can veneers mask dark tetracycline-stained teeth? Absolutely.

This transformation is a great example of what's possible with thoughtful treatment planning.

Our patient had lived with tetracycline staining since childhood, making whitening an ineffective option. Years earlier, six veneers had been placed on his front teeth, but they eventually caused significant wear on his lower front teeth.

To restore his smile, we replaced the existing veneers, used conservative no prep veneers to rebuild the worn lower teeth while masking the underlying staining, and replaced several crowns as part of a full mouth reconstruction.

The end result wasn't just a dramatic cosmetic improvement. It also restored proper function, protected the remaining healthy tooth structure, and helped prevent the continued wear that could have led to more extensive treatment in the future.

Every smile is different, which is why every treatment plan should be too.

Ready to explore what's possible for your smile? We'd love to meet you. Schedule your consultation at alpersdentistry.com.

Here's a behind the scenes look at Dr. Alpers' recent appearance on Arizona's Family, where he shared practical advice for handling dental emergencies while traveling.

One reassuring reminder: if a crown comes off during your vacation, it doesn't always mean your trip is ruined. Many times it can safely wait until you can see a dentist. However, if you're experiencing pain or significant sensitivity, contact your dentist. A quick visit may be all that's needed to help you get back to your vacation.

Choosing between a partial, bridge, or dental implant is only part of the decision.

The bigger question is: How will that choice affect your smile in 5, 10 or even 20 years from now?

Here, Dr. Alpers explains why it's important to think beyond the initial treatment. While one option may cost less today, it may require more extensive treatment in the future. Understanding the long-term benefits and tradeoffs of each option can help you make the best decision for your oral health.

Summer vacations should be full of memories, not unexpected trips to the dentist.

Dr. Alpers stopped by azfamily 3TV CBS 5 today to talk about common dental emergencies, and two of the biggest culprits are surprisingly common: chewing ice and using your teeth to open packages or bottles.

Both habits can lead to cracked or chipped teeth, especially when you're already out of your normal routine. A little extra care can help keep your smile healthy all summer long.

If you do experience a dental emergency, don't panic. If you're in pain, contact your dentist as soon as possible.

When people think about cosmetic dentistry, they often focus on appearance. But in many cases, the real goal is restoring health, function, and comfort.

This patient came to us with broken veneers and a compromised bite. Through a comprehensive full mouth reconstruction, we replaced failing restorations, rebuilt his bite, restored proper function, and created a smile that looks as good as it feels.

The result is more than a cosmetic upgrade. It's a stronger, healthier foundation that allows him to smile, speak, and eat with confidence again.

We're honored to be part of transformations like this ✨
