Thank you Paz de Cristo Community Center for allowing some of our residents yesterday to hand out bananas and waters for the homeless after your Wednesdays mobile shower day. It was a blessing for us to have gotten that opportunity. Thank you Paz , we look forward to continuing helping out with the ones your community serves. Thank you for all you do for the community.

Signature Committee at Work

At Mosaic Gardens Montessori Memory Care, meaningful engagement is about more than staying busy...it is about continuing to have a role, a voice, and a sense of purpose.

Through our T.H.R.I.V.E. program, our Signature Committee has begun its newest project: handcrafted sugar scrubs. After beginning our Signature Item initiative with hand soaps, residents are now taking part in the next phase by organizing materials, labeling jars, discussing fragrances, making choices about presentation, and learning how the finished products will be displayed, marketed, and sold.

This project incorporates important Montessori principles by giving residents opportunities for choice, responsibility, teamwork, sequencing, fine-motor engagement, and meaningful contribution. Rather than simply completing an activity, residents participate in a process with a genuine purpose and a visible outcome.

What makes this project especially meaningful is where it leads. Proceeds from our Signature Items will be donated to a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping animals in need and reducing unnecessary euthanasia. 🐾

Our residents may be living with changes in memory, but their ability to contribute, make choices, experience purpose, and positively impact others remains incredibly valuable. Projects like our Signature Committee allow us to focus not on what has been lost, but on the abilities, experiences, interests, and strengths that remain.

That is the heart of Montessori Memory Care...and what it means to T.H.R.I.V.E. 🌿💜

🌺🌴 Aloha from Mosaic Gardens ! 🌴🌺

What an incredible time we had at our Family & Friends Luau! 🏝️🌸

The excitement began long before our guests arrived, as Chef Chris fired up the roaster and began roasting a whole pig! 🐷🔥 Our residents were absolutely fascinated watching the process and seeing our luau feast come together.

But at Mosaic in Scottsdale Gardens, our residents aren’t just invited to the party...they help create it! ❤️

In true T.H.R.I.V.E Montessori spirit, everyone pitched in to prepare for our special day. Our residents helped make decorations, set the tables, put on tablecloths, and add those special finishing touches that transformed our community into our own little Hawaiian paradise. 🌺🌴🍍

There was so much laughter, teamwork, anticipation, and pride as everyone worked together to make the day special.

And once the party started… we definitely had some fun! 📸😂🌺 We even squeezed in a little luau photo shoot, so this video is a little longer than usual — but there were simply too many wonderful moments not to share!

To all of our families and friends who joined us, MAHALO! 🤙❤️ Thank you for showing up, laughing with us, making memories with us, and continuing to make our Family & Friends Events so special.

These gatherings are about so much more than a celebration. They are about connection, purpose, belonging, family, friendship, and creating moments .

At Mosaic Gardens Montessori Memory Care, our T.H.R.I.V.E. Program turns cooking and baking into meaningful experiences that begin long before we step into the kitchen. Our residents help create the shopping list, search for ingredients, compare choices, read labels, make decisions, and even enjoy the excitement of finding that one special item we've been looking for. Sometimes it takes visiting more than one store—and that's perfectly okay! The journey is just as important as the destination. ❤️

These outings encourage:
🧠 Cognitive stimulation through problem-solving and memory recall.
🛒 Executive functioning by planning, organizing, and making choices.
💬 Conversation and social engagement with one another and the community.
🚶‍♀️ Gentle physical activity while walking through the store.

🍦☀️ Cooling Off the Montessori Way! ☀️🍦

When Arizona turns up the heat, we turn up the fun! 😄

As part of our T.H.R.I.V.E. Montessori Program, our residents enjoyed a hands-on ice cream making experience that was filled with smiles, laughter, conversation, and sweet moments. From mixing the ingredients to watching the magic happen, everyone had the opportunity to participate, engage, and enjoy a delicious reward they helped create with their own hands. 🍨❤️
