Books. Wine. Women behaving…complicatedly. 🍷📚

HerHaus Book Club is back!

Join us Thursday, September 3 at 4:30 p.m. at Larkin’s for happy hour and a casual conversation about All Fours by Miranda July, led by the fabulous Megan Early-Soppa.

If you’ve read it, you already know: we have A LOT to discuss. Marriage. Motherhood. Desire. Reinvention. Perimenopause. The strange and sometimes wildly uncomfortable question of what happens when a woman starts asking, Wait…what do I actually want?

Come have a drink and talk about it with women who aren’t afraid to go there.

And yes, you should read the book. But if you only made it halfway through? Come anyway. We won’t tell. 😉

Yes, we talk about serious topics. But we also laugh. A LOT.

Because for every discussion about perimenopause or ADHD or finance or manifesting, there’s also a wildly inappropriate side conversation ... a story that goes completely off the rails, an overshare from someone you met 20 minutes ago, and at least one moment where you’re laughing so hard you forget what we were talking about in the first place.

We created HerHaus because women deserve a place to learn, ask real questions, have honest conversations, and talk about the things that actually affect our lives.

But three years in, we've realized something else: We’re really freaking funny. Come for the conversation. Stay for the women who make you snort-laugh in public. 💚

When was the last time you did something simply because it was fun? Not productive, strategic, or educational. Just fun.

As children, play comes naturally. As adults, especially high-achieving women, it often becomes one of the first things we sacrifice in the name of responsibility, productivity, and endless to-do lists.

Join certified yoga instructor Kimmie Hale for an engaging conversation about the surprising benefits of play and why moments of joy, curiosity, creativity, and lightheartedness aren’t indulgences—they’re essential to our well-being.

Together, we’ll explore:

• Why play is important for both physical and mental health
• How play helps regulate stress and support nervous system health
• The connection between play, creativity, resilience, and connection
• Why so many adults struggle to make time for fun
• Simple ways to bring more playfulness into everyday life

Through discussion, reflection, and interactive activities, we’ll rediscover something many of us have forgotten: joy doesn’t have to be earned.

Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck in a routine, or simply curious about what happens when you loosen your grip on productivity, this experience will leave you feeling lighter, more connected, and inspired to make room for play again.

Because sometimes the most productive thing you can do is have a little fun.

We are incredibly excited to welcome Insperity as a Title Sponsor of HerHaus!

When we started HerHaus, we wanted to create a place where women could learn, grow, ask better questions, make meaningful connections, and ultimately become more of who they already are. So when a company whose philosophy is rooted in putting people first chooses to invest in what we're building? That means something to us.

For 40 years, Insperity has helped businesses succeed by helping their people succeed—providing the HR expertise, tools, resources, and support that allow people and organizations to thrive.

And they believe that impact extends beyond the workplace. Stronger people build stronger businesses. Stronger businesses build stronger communities.

We couldn't agree more.

Thank you, Insperity, for believing in HerHaus, investing in the women in our community, and helping us create more opportunities for women to learn, connect, grow—and thrive.

We're so happy to have you in the Haus. 💚

If you want a group who is sweet, soft-spoken, and has no opinion, that's not us.

We're going to ask hard questions, challenge ideas, and change our minds when we learn something new. And sometimes this makes people uncomfortable. Because growth is uncomfortable.

For a long time, women have been taught that being "likable" is more important than being honest. That we should soften our opinions, apologize before we speak, and make sure everyone else is comfortable before we are. We're not interested in that anymore.

HerHaus was never created to be another networking group where everyone smiles politely, exchanges business cards, and talks about the weather. It was built for women who are curious, who aren't afraid to wrestle with complicated ideas., and who can disagree without being disrespectful. HerHaus is a space for women who are still figuring themselves out—and have the courage to let other people witness that process.

You don't have to think like me. You just have to be willing to think.

If that sounds a little intimidating, HerHaus probably isn't for you. But if reading this makes you breathe a little deeper because you've been looking for a room where you don't have to shrink yourself...

We'll save you a seat. 💚

What a wonderful way to kick off our fall programming. 💚

Last night was filled with reconnecting with members, welcoming new faces, and learning from an incredible panel about the rise of ADHD diagnoses in women.

But our favorite part wasn't just the conversation—it was the women in the room. Watching strangers become friends, seeing members make introductions, and hearing thoughtful questions reminded us why HerHaus exists in the first place.

This community continues to amaze us. Thank you to everyone who joined us, shared your stories, and made the evening so special. We can't wait to see you at the next one.

We are beyond thrilled that Candler Creative is our newest Event Sponsor! Owned by Catherine Blount, Candler Creative builds professional, easy-to-manage websites, creates beautiful designs, and offers photography support. We were lucky enough to meet Catherine through an introduction of a fellow HerHaus member (shoutout to Kathleen Reynolds!), and now we enjoy working with Catherine on a daily basis. Thank you Candler Creative!

Join us Wednesday, August 5 at Ava Laurenne Bridal for our next HerHaus meeting! Featured speakers are Dannah Moore, APRN, PMHNP-BC; Sarah Rolfe, NP; Melissa Motes, NP; and Katie Poterala, Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner. Visit https://herhaus.space/event/wait-is-it-adhd/ to sign up.

"Wait ... is it ADHD?"

For years, many of us learned to mask, overcompensate, or simply assume we were anxious, scattered, lazy, or "too much." Now we're asking a different question:

How did no one catch this sooner?

Join us for an honest conversation about ADHD in women. We'll talk about why diagnoses are increasing, what ADHD actually looks like in women, how it impacts everyday life, and the treatment options available—including holistic approaches.

Whether you've been diagnosed, suspect you might have ADHD, love someone who does, or are simply curious, we hope you'll join us for a conversation that just might help something click.
