The results are in from our Middle School and High School groups
Each round of groups the girls complete a survey on what they are experiencing. We are few weeks into our school year groups and this what the survey found.
Recent surveys revealed significant struggles with social comparison, appearance, rejection, self-respect, and fear of making mistakes. Some girls reported feeling proud of their accomplishments and responding positively to compliments. But their confidence became much more vulnerable when they experienced criticism, rejection, or a lack of approval.
I speak on this often, a girl may look confident when she is succeeding, achieving, or receiving praise while still struggling to believe in her value when those things are absent.
This is also why we start early with the elementary group. Our elementary program helps girls build a strong internal foundation before comparison, perfectionism, appearance pressure, and fear of rejection become deeply rooted. We help girls develop self-respect, practice self-compassion, take healthy risks, recover from mistakes, and understand that their worth does not depend on achievement or someone else’s approval.
