We just wrapped Week 5 of Braving Private Practice, and it’s one of my favorite weeks.

This week is all about connection and community, and the role both play in building a meaningful, sustainable private practice.

Gemeinschaftsgefühl in action. 💛

We talk a lot about what you need to do to grow a practice: get more training, build a website, post on social media, find your niche…

But how often do you stop and ask:

Who do I need to know to get to the next step?

Not in a transactional, “what can you do for me?” kind of way.

Who should you be learning from?
Who should know what you do?
Who is already serving the community you want to serve?
Who could you collaborate with instead of trying to build everything alone?

A meaningful practice isn’t built in isolation.

Sometimes the next step isn’t another certification, another strategy, or another Instagram post.

Sometimes it’s a conversation

Who do you need to connect with this week?

The results are in from our Middle School and High School groups

Each round of groups the girls complete a survey on what they are experiencing. We are few weeks into our school year groups and this what the survey found.

Recent surveys revealed significant struggles with social comparison, appearance, rejection, self-respect, and fear of making mistakes. Some girls reported feeling proud of their accomplishments and responding positively to compliments. But their confidence became much more vulnerable when they experienced criticism, rejection, or a lack of approval.

I speak on this often, a girl may look confident when she is succeeding, achieving, or receiving praise while still struggling to believe in her value when those things are absent.

This is also why we start early with the elementary group. Our elementary program helps girls build a strong internal foundation before comparison, perfectionism, appearance pressure, and fear of rejection become deeply rooted. We help girls develop self-respect, practice self-compassion, take healthy risks, recover from mistakes, and understand that their worth does not depend on achievement or someone else’s approval.

If a girl you know could benefit let’s connect

Session One of Middle School Complete 💎

My favorite part, our two word check out where we go from nervousness, feeling unsure and questioning if this is the right room, to feelings of belonging, connection and excited for next week.

One of my favorite things about a new cohort of groups starting is finding cool stuff to use in group. One of the activities planned is building our emotional and strengths toolkit for the school year and I found these cool composition notebook boxes to use.

Early bird pricing ends next week for our Elementary group.
