When we admit a patient onto hospice services, one of the questions we ask is, "What are the Three Most Important Things we need to know about you to provide the best care?" The answers have been everything from calling them by their childhood nickname to a wish to be reunited with a family member. No matter what they are, we make a note and plan to honor one of these Three Most Important Things (TMITs) on each visit.

Please join us in congratulating Jacob Brandon, South Carolina Regional Trainer, on his new role with NHC as the Clinical Informatics Analyst!

In his new role, Jacob will serve as a key liaison between clinical operations and technology regarding HCHB.

Jacob has been a part of Caris Healthcare since 2016 and has served as the SC Regional Trainer since 2023. He has truly been an asset to our South Carolina team by providing training to new RNs, in-person coaching, and working behind the scenes to assist with workflow for many offices. Jacob will transition to his new role in early August.

In 2021, Caris began an exciting new chapter by joining National HealthCare Corporation (NHC). This partnership allowed us to maintain our unique Caris culture while leveraging the resources of a leader in senior care. Today, June 21st, is the Summer Solstice—the longest day of the year. In the healthcare and caregiver community, it holds a deeper meaning. It is a day dedicated to Alzheimer’s awareness, recognizing the strength it takes to navigate a disease often called "The Long Goodbye."
