Leading with passion across 5 states! 🛳️🌅✨

What an incredible time at our Leadership Development Institute (LDI)! We loved bringing together Administrators and Caris Representatives from all 5 states we serve to learn, collaborate, and grow together.

To cap off a fantastic week, our team enjoyed a beautiful dinner cruise along the Tennessee River—the perfect way to celebrate our shared mission, build connections, and relax as one Caris family! 💙

Thank you to all of our dedicated leaders for everything you do for our patients, families, and local communities every single day. 👏🎉

Did you know? Having a Medicare Advantage plan won’t delay or complicate your hospice coverage.

Many families wonder how hospice care works if they are enrolled in a private Medicare Advantage plan rather than Original Medicare. The good news is that the process is seamless!

When you elect to receive hospice care, Original Medicare (Part A) automatically steps in to cover your hospice services directly. Your Medicare Advantage plan stays active to cover care unrelated to your terminal diagnosis, ensuring you maintain complete, uninterrupted coverage without extra hassle.

Navigating insurance details can feel overwhelming, but our dedicated team is always here to handle the paperwork and guide your family every step of the way.

Did you know? Financial stress should never stand between your family and compassionate care.

One of the most common worries families face when considering hospice is the cost of care. Under the Medicare Hospice Benefit, covered care is provided at no cost to the patient.

Medicare covers 100% of allowable expenses related to the terminal diagnosis—including your expert care team (nurses, aides, social workers, and chaplains), specialized medical equipment, medical supplies, and medications related to pain and symptom management.

Our priority is making sure you can focus on spending quality, meaningful time with your loved ones without worrying about healthcare bills.

Please join us in congratulating Reggie Titmas on his promotion to the position of Regional Vice President of Sales and Marketing for South Carolina.

Reggie joined Caris originally in 2018 as a Caris Representative for the Greenwood office, and later transferred to our Greenville location, where he achieved a record number of lives touched at both locations.

He has been serving as the Regional Director of Sales and Marketing since April of 2024. During this time, the region has grown from 215 lives touched to 265. Reggie has built a great team, and our retention has improved from 50% to currently 100% for 2026, with two of those Caris Representatives were promoted to Senior Caris Representatives.

Reggie’s dedication to providing world-class service and his unwavering commitment to excellence make him a great fit for this role.

Expressing gratitude for this opportunity, Reggie notes, “I'm extremely proud of my team's successes that we've made in South Carolina. I'm incredibly excited to continue the pace that our state has set this year and continue hitting new targets for many years to come.”

Did you know? You are never locked into a hospice provider if you aren't satisfied with your care.

Your comfort, trust, and peace of mind are what matter most. Under Medicare coverage guidelines, patients have the explicit right to change their hospice provider once during each benefit period if they feel their current agency is not meeting their expectations or needs.

Healthcare should always feel supportive, responsive, and tailored to your family. If you ever feel that your care needs to change, you have the freedom and authority to select an agency that better aligns with your goals.

Knowing your rights helps ensure you and your loved ones receive the high-caliber, compassionate care you deserve every single day.

Did you know? You always have the right to choose your hospice provider.

When it comes to end-of-life care, many families believe they must use a specific provider recommended by a hospital or facility. However, under Medicare guidelines, the choice of hospice care provider belongs entirely to the patient and their loved ones.

This means you have the freedom to select any Medicare-certified hospice agency—giving you the power to choose a team whose values, reputation, and care approach best align with your family's needs.

Empowering families with clear, transparent care decisions is at the heart of what we do. Have questions about Medicare hospice coverage? Our team is always here to help guide you.

When we admit a patient onto hospice services, one of the questions we ask is, "What are the Three Most Important Things we need to know about you to provide the best care?" The answers have been everything from calling them by their childhood nickname to a wish to be reunited with a family member. No matter what they are, we make a note and plan to honor one of these Three Most Important Things (TMITs) on each visit.
