You do NOT need to invent the next groundbreaking business idea.

In fact, your next business might already be hiding in your inbox, your DMs, your workplace, or the conversations you have every day.

Start paying attention to the questions people repeatedly ask you.

What do they come to you for?

What do you explain over and over?

What problem do you know how to solve?

What do people assume you can help them with because of your experience?

✨️That is where I would start✨️

You already have skills.
You already have experience.
You already understand problems that other people are trying to solve.

That is your niche.

You don't need to serve everyone. A specific niche can actually make it easier to communicate
👉 What you do
👉 Who you help
👉 Why someone should choose you

Your experience isn't something you need to overcome before becoming an entrepreneur.

It might be the thing that makes your business possible.

Try this today:
Write down 3️⃣ questions people ask you repeatedly

Don't overthink it. Just start there.

You might be closer to your business idea than you think

Before you choose the business model, the niche, the logo, or the five-year plan…

Ask yourself ✨️why you want to build something in the first place✨️

Maybe it's freedom.

Maybe it's more time with your family.

Maybe it's the ability to practice medicine in a way that actually aligns with how you believe care should be delivered.

Maybe it's flexibility.

Maybe you want a creative outlet that medicine doesn't always give you.

Maybe you're trying to build a career that feels sustainable instead of one that slowly burns you out.

Your ✨️why✨️ matters because entrepreneurship isn't just about building a business.

It's about building a life that your business supports.

And when the doubts creep in, the growing pains hit, or imposter syndrome starts getting loud ✨️your why can be the thing that reminds you why you started in the first place.🤦🏼‍♀️✨️

This is my "why." Your reason doesn't have to look like anyone else's.

What would entrepreneurship make possible for you?👇

If you’re waiting to feel 100% ready before you start your business, I have some bad news:

You probably won’t. 😂

And I say that as someone who has built a practice, made plenty of mistakes, figured things out along the way, and continues to learn every single day.

One of the biggest things I see with PAs and NPs who want to become entrepreneurs is that they get stuck in the **pre-launch phase.**

They research.
They brainstorm.
They take another course.
They make another list.
They tell themselves they just need to figure out *one more thing.*

And sometimes, research is absolutely necessary. There are things you SHOULD know before launching a business.

But you do not need to know **everything.**

You need to know enough to take the next step.

Then you research what you don't know.
You ask questions.
You find mentors.
You make adjustments.
You keep going.

That's how confidence is built.

So if you've been sitting on a business idea, consider this your permission slip to stop waiting for the perfect moment.

**You don't have to have the whole roadmap. You just need to take the next step.**

This is Week 1 of my 8-week entrepreneurship series for PAs + NPs. Let's get you out of pre-launch and into motion. 🚀

If you've ever had a prescription denied, you're not alone.

This is one of those things that took me years of trial, error, and countless prior authorizations to figure out. Now I'm sharing it with you because we don't gatekeep here at ELM. 💚

I recently had ready-to-use glucagon denied. Here's what I want you to know:

🚨 If someone is at risk for severe hypoglycemia, ready-to-use glucagon should be part of their emergency safety plan.

The older emergency glucagon kits require mixing powder and liquid together during a medical emergency. But when someone you love is unconscious or having a seizure, no one is calmly reading instructions and mixing medications.

That's exactly why ready-to-use options like BAQSIMI (glucagon) and Gvoke HypoPen® (glucagon injection) exist.

In this video, I walk through:
✔️ How I write the prescription to reduce pharmacy substitutions.
✔️ Why I include the manufacturer copay card information in my prescription notes.
✔️ What I do when insurance denies coverage.
✔️ The prior authorization language I use to advocate for my patients.

Because "no" from insurance doesn't always mean "stop." Sometimes it means advocate differently.

👇 I've included the copay card information and prior authorization wording below to help both clinicians and patients navigate the process.

Have you ever had insurance deny a medication that you knew was medically necessary? I'd love to hear your experience below.

✨️ Prior authorization wording:
"Pt has [INSERT REASON*], thus a ready-to-use glucagon is required. The American Diabetes Associations's 2026 Standards of Care in Diabetes explicitly recommend that ready-to-use (reconstitution-free) glucagon preparations are preferred over older kits for treating severe hypoglycemia. [Gvoke or Baqsimi] is strongly recommended."
*Could be diabetes on medication that cause hypo, history of severe hypo, nocturnal hypo, hypo unawareness, and more.
