💍💐 Love was in the air at Elan Skilled Nursing and Rehab last week, as residents and staff came together for a wedding to remember that was complete with laughter, cupcakes, and plenty of smiles!

Our Life Enrichment team turned the day into a joyful mock wedding, starring our very own Social Worker Alexis as the blushing bride and Daniel from our EVS team as the dashing groom. Staff members rounded out the wedding party, adding even more fun to the festivities.

A special shoutout to our residents, who made cupcakes and crafted the favors for the big day!

And a huge thank-you to our incredible staff for making this such a fun and memorable event for everyone. Congratulations to the happy "couple" — may your (mock) marriage be filled with joy! ❤️🍰👰🤵

To gear up for America’s 250th birthday, residents participated in Pennsylvania’s Liberty Bell Project, hosted by the Pennsylvania Empowered Expert Residents (PEER) program. Designed to let seniors share their unique community heritage, this interactive, community-led arts initiative gave residents across the state the opportunity to design, decorate, and display 3-foot-tall fiberglass replica bells. Elan’s bell is now on display at the front entrance of the building.

The Liberty Bell Project is a creative branch of Bells Across PA, a statewide public art exhibition celebrating the 250th anniversary of the United States.
