FREE Fire & Carbon Monoxide Alert Devices for Eligible Delaware Residents!

We wanted to share this important new statewide program for Delaware residents who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Late-Deafened, or DeafBlind and may not be able to hear traditional smoke or carbon monoxide alarms.

Through a partnership between the Delaware Office for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing and the Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office, eligible residents can receive accessible alerting equipment at NO COST.

Equipment may include:
✨ Flash receivers
✨ Bed shakers
✨ Alarm clocks with bed shakers
✨ Smoke alarms
✨ Carbon monoxide alarms

These devices can provide visual and tactile alerts, helping make sure hearing loss doesn’t stand in the way of an important life saving warning, especially while sleeping.
