If you've relapsed after treatment, you're probably not thinking about statistics right now. You're thinking about how you're even going to tell people.

So let's say this clearly: needing to go back to treatment doesn't mean you failed, and it doesn't mean your first program failed either.

Addiction is a chronic, relapsing condition, the same way diabetes or hypertension can be.

Nobody expects one round of treatment to fix a chronic illness for good, and addiction shouldn't be held to a different standard.

Going back doesn't mean starting from zero. You already know your triggers and what didn't work last time. That's real knowledge to build on.
