Jason Maris, PA-C, physician assistant at the Sports Medicine Center at Husky Stadium, was nearby and helped with rescue efforts of the seaplane crash Thursday in the San Juan Islands. Jason was one of several medical professionals nearby who rushed in to help injured passengers after the crash.

Dr. Jesse Roberts and his patient Michael Cleek recently completed the Ironman 70.3 Couer d'Alene almost exactly a year after hemipelvectomy and hip replacement surgery.

After he was diagnosed with chondrosarcoma, Mike Cleek opted for a complex hemipelvectomy. Jesse Roberts, MD, relied on a 3D template and a titanium implant to reconstruct Cleek's pelvis. One year later, they both completed the same Ironman race.
