Meet Team Survivor's Mountain Climb Leaders! 🥾💜🌿

Our group of climbers are led by our 3 incredible volunteer Mountain Climb Leaders. They have been instrumental in helping the team prepare for the big day, and we are so thankful for the energy and experience they bring to this program.

🗻Meet Ellen: “I LOVE to hike. I LOVE the MOUNTAINS. Well, ok actually I LIVE to Hike. I’m back for my 3rd year with the TSNW Mountain Climb program….one climb for each of the three cancer journeys that I’ve taken. I’m enjoying my role as co-Mountain Climb leader again and feel really energized by this year’s team and their enthusiasm.”

🗻Meet Camille: “Being an MCL is a privilege. I’ve climbed Mt. St. Helens and Camp Muir with TSNW, but nothing compares to witnessing a team grow stronger together in 2026! The real summit is the confidence and connection we build side by side.”

🗻Meet Kris: "I summited Mount St. Helens with TSNW in 2024 and it was an amazing experience! The joy I felt while standing at the top of the iconic mountain was not just because I achieved my personal climb goal, it was all the more meaningful because of the fellow survivors that I accomplished it with."

Meet our Mountain Climbers! (pt. 2) 🥾🗻💜
Yesterday and today, we’re introducing our incredible Team Survivor Northwest Climb Team members! ☀🌿
Our team consists of 10 inspiring women who have all faced cancer. Today, we’d like to introduce Marina, Steph, Morgan, Mai, and Lauren.

🌲Meet Marina: “On July 30th, we will stand at the top of Mt. St. Helens and keep in our hearts our sisters and ourselves who have been impacted by cancer.”

🌲Meet Steph: “Last year I climbed to Camp Muir on Mt. Rainier with this team. I was terrified, exhausted, and completely amazed that I did it. This year I’m back for Mt. St. Helens because the program, the community, and some incredibly generous volunteer leaders I’ve met made me believe I could.”

🌲Meet Morgan: "I've always enjoyed hiking and getting to train and climb Mt. St. Helens with this group of amazing and resilient women is such a privilege."

🌲Meet Mai: "We will be climbing 4,500 ft. in elevation with a 10-mile round trip, to demonstrate the power of every person who’s ever faced cancer. I want to prove that even in the darkest moments, we are still capable of incredible strength."

🌲Meet Lauren: “Before all of this, I was a healthy, active 34-year-old -- an avid hiker, backpacker, climber, and yoga instructor. Now, one year after my second surgery, I am incredibly grateful to be getting back on the trail and returning to the activities I love."

Today and tomorrow, we’re introducing our incredible Team Survivor Northwest Climb Team members! ☀🌿

Our team consists of 10 inspiring women who have all faced cancer. Today, we’d like to introduce Kelley, Gina, Wendy, Jessica, and Lina.

🌲Meet Kelley: “I'm climbing in honor of my dad, who had pancreatic cancer, and because spending time in nature with strong, resilient women reminds me that we can keep moving forward in spite of hard things.”

🌲Meet Gina: “I've decided to climb for cancer on 7/30 and help Team Survivor fundraise so they can keep providing their invaluable services to women like me.”

🌲Meet Wendy: “I’m climbing for all the women who have battled cancer and for my dad, who has always felt an affinity with the mountain.”

🌲Meet Jessica: “After undergoing four months of chemo and one month of radiation, today, I am eight years cancer free!! Ten years ago, I never would have seen myself climbing a mountain but I am beyond excited to be participating this year. “

🌲Meet Lina: “When I saw Team Survivor's Mt. St. Helens climb, I knew I had to join. Nature and the mountains have always been a happy, healing place for me, and getting back out hiking has been a challenge since my surgery.”
