When we say we help women get strong, we mean STRONG.

Ok, so I mixed up extension and flexion, and there isn’t a move called “Actual Rotation”. In my defense, this was my 20th take, and I was a little distracted by the burining in my forearm muscles.

Most women over 40 don't think about grip strength but doctors do.

Weaker grip correlates to:
*Less independence (because you can't open or carry your own things)
*More serious falls (because you can't catch yourself)
*Overall lower bone density (because you can't hold weights)

The research is eye opening and the good news is it is never too late to do something about it.

We're talking grip-strength all week, so follow and stay tuned for ideas of how to start.💪

What if the progress you’re looking for is already happening... and you just haven’t noticed it yet? 👀

In this episode of The Gun Show, Lydia shares one of the moments that completely changed how she saw her fitness journey.

After years of showing up, staying consistent, and trusting the process, she realized she was capable of things she never thought possible.

The best part? It wasn’t one giant breakthrough. It was the small wins adding up over time.

If you’ve ever felt frustrated, stuck, or wondered if your hard work is paying off, this conversation is for you. 💪

Watch the full episode on our YouTube channel to hear Lydia’s story, the lessons she’s learned along the way, and the advice she has for anyone starting their own strength journey.

Lydia has been with us for 3 years and honestly her journey is just so inspiring 🔥

She came back after having a baby and just KEPT SHOWING UP. And that consistency? It paid off BIG time.

“She has gone from not being able to do box jumps to making our highest box look effortless.” 👏

If you’ve been in that place where getting back into it feels impossible just know it’s normal and you’re not alone. You just gotta keep after it 🙌

We did it. 💜

Because of this community, we officially reached our $2,000 fundraising goal for Northwest Immigrant Rights Project.

Every donation, every share, every person who showed up to the workshop helped make this happen. This wasn’t about just lifting weights. It was about showing up for people, for families, and for a stronger community.

Thank you for proving what can happen when strength goes beyond the studio walls.

We are so grateful for every single one of you. 💪

Today we pause to honour the brave women and men who gave everything so we could live freely, love fully, and grow stronger every day. 🇺🇸

This Memorial Day, we carry their strength with us in every challenge we face and every moment we choose to show up for ourselves.

Honour. Remember. Stay strong.

You asked how to prioritize fitness while doing it all.

The answer? You don't.

And the sooner you stop trying to, the better.

I learned this the hard way. Running a business,
losing muscle, missing workouts, and genuinely wondering
what was wrong with me.

Turns out? Nothing. I was just doing too much.

Here's what actually works when life is full
and fitness keeps slipping through the cracks

With so many deadlift variations, it’s hard to know which is which. 🤷🏼‍♀️

In this clip, Head Coach Mel breaks down the Conventional Deadlift, with all the do’s and don’ts so you get the right form for your body. (As well as what to avoid so you’re not just doing a “funky squat”)

We put the whole workshop on our YouTube channel, where we break down all the variations, core bracing, breathing tempo, troubleshooting pain or activation issues, and set you up for great glute strength!  🍑

We dropped the YouTube link in our bio, so check it out!

Last Saturday’s energy was something special. 🖤

Master Your Deadlift Part 2 was more than technique. It was a room full of women showing up for themselves, supporting each other, and getting stronger together.

Seeing you all lock in, ask questions, and pull with confidence? That’s exactly why we do this. We’re so happy to have you in the studio.

We’ll see you at our next workshop! Save this post to remember that you were here. Share it with a friend who needs to be in the next one. 💪
