It’s not every day that we get to fumble with fake lashes and pocket squares and, obliviously chatting & laughing at my terrible perfume aim, nearly walk straight into the altar as the bride & groom approach— so I’m enshrining it here as a waypoint in the hopes we get to look this good doing all of the above together time and again 🥰

Earth day everyday is especially true when nature is your office & your dog’s well-being requires the elements daily (and, occasionally, potato chips & fruit). Of course, I’m not one to decline ceremony— I’ll be doing some pollinator planting in my patio garden this weekend🐝🌻 In the meantime, on a more casual every day note: here we are loafing in the lush Spring grass, admiring the birdsong and the daisies pushing through under the apple blossoms of Yoneo’s favorite tree (because apples in the fall 🥹). Every day I am enveloped in gratitude because this is my everyday life💖

🌎 Earth day is every day when nature is your office & your dog’s well-being requires the elements (& sometimes potato chips & fruit). This fur-being has been the bearer of true BLISS & deep soul magic into my life; has drawn ever-expanding compassion out of me; anchors me by my heartstrings to the present, has taught me how to cherish life & hold death in tandem. As if that didn’t make life sweet enough, the icing on top is that all of that deep goodness takes place amidst everyday adventures in the wetlands, forests, lakes, and mountains of the PNW—and alongside eagles, otters, sea lions, beavers, and more dogs!

I owe so much of the magic in my life to Yoneo, my baby, my bubby, my bubs. Infinitely indebted to him for getting me to see past my own nose, for taking me out of the center of my melodrama, for freeing me literally and figuratively. My heart & spirit have expanded endlessly because of him 🫠🌲🐾
