For a long time, I thought self-trust was something that would come after certainty. If I just gathered enough information, thought about it long enough, or got enough opinions, eventually the answer would become obvious...

What I’ve learned is that many of the decisions that shaped my life didn’t come with certainty. They came when I decided to trust myself before I had proof...Starting the business. Taking the leap. Saying yes to speaking opportunities I couldn’t fully explain.

Looking back, the growth didn’t happen because I had all the answers. The growth happened because I was willing to trust myself enough to take the next step. I think that’s where many women (speaking from experience) get stuck. Not because they don’t know what they want, but because they’ve been taught to question themselves until they feel completely certain. The irony is that some of the best moments in life happen because we stop trying to predict every outcome and allow ourselves to experience it as it unfolds.

After my father died, my nervous system was in survival mode. I spent years in relationships confusing my ability to “see someone’s potential” with my intuition.

It wasn’t intuition. It was codependency. I was using my competence to fix them so I didn’t have to sit with my own grief.

I see highly responsible women make this exact mistake in both dating and business. We treat red flags as projects. We confuse the urgent, chaotic buzz of anxiety with chemistry, and we over-intellectualize our way out of our own boundaries.

Dating, like leadership, is a masterclass in somatic discernment. When you stop outsourcing your authority, you stop reading potential as proof of value.

Most women don’t struggle for lack of information. The real issue is achievement conditioning that rewards overriding intuitive intelligence, and calls the doubt “responsible.”

Common patterns:
• Taking the job that felt wrong because the resume line looked right.
• Staying in a relationship past red flags because the potential seemed worth it.
• Lowering prices, delaying launches, hiring the wrong person, talking oneself out of felt‑right timing.
