We’re honored to share that Mirabella Seattle has been selected by YouthCare as their 2026 Community Impact Award Honoree!

This year’s theme, “We Show Up,” reflects YouthCare’s commitment to community, compassion, and meaningful connection. YouthCare works to end youth homelessness and empower young people to achieve stability, opportunity, and long-term success—efforts our residents have proudly supported for more than a decade through hands-on volunteerism, advocacy, and fundraising.

This recognition is a meaningful honor, and we’re proud to support YouthCare’s incredible impact in our community.

Seattle’s everyday heroes, up close. 🚒🚑

We spent time behind the scenes at Seattle Fire Department's Station 10, getting a firsthand look at the training, teamwork, and technology that power one of the city’s busiest stations. From the call center to the station floor, it was a fascinating look at how emergency response comes together. Thank you to the incredible professionals who support our city every day. ❤️

📸 A special nod to resident Elston Hill for the wonderful photos.

🌊 Resident Elston Hill is back in The Seattle Times’ Reader’s Lens — this time with a stunning shot of a sea lion mid‑jump at the Port of Seattle's Shilshole Bay Marina.

Elston shared that he and his wife spent much of this past winter walking out to the breakwater to watch the sea lions. Most of the time the sea lions lie around barking, but on this particular day there was a lot of jumping — and with patience (and a powerful lens!), he captured the perfect leap.

Check out his featured photo in The Seattle Times: https://www.seattletimes.com/pacific-nw-magazine/water-ballet-the-sea-lion-way/

A sea lion doing more then the usual lounging is this week's pick for Reader's Lens. Spot something interesting on an outing? Here's how to submit your photos.

From secondhand items to first-class impact, Re-Store—our resident-run resale shop—has reached an incredible milestone: $1,000,000 contributed to the Mirabella Seattle Foundation! 🎉

By giving new life to donated items, Re-Store supports programs that directly benefit the community, including the Resident Assistance Fund, which provides extra support for residents when needed, and the Employee Benefits Program Fund, offering scholarships and emergency assistance for our dedicated team members.

A big thank‑you to the volunteers, residents, staff, and donors who make Re-Store possible. Your ongoing support keeps this shop thriving and continues to make a meaningful difference at Mirabella Seattle. 💙

Our fellow resident, Bill Pitlick, took the stage for a Resident Revelations presentation, sharing his passion for rowing! 🚣‍♂️ As a member of the University of Washington rowing team in the 1960s, Bill recounted stories from his time on the water and taught us about the different oars used in rowing, even sharing a memorable race he competed in later in life.

Fun fact: in collegiate rowing, the winning crew gets to keep the losing team’s shirts — talk about a unique trophy. Thanks for sharing your love of the sport with us, Bill!

📸 A special thank‑you to resident Elston Hill for capturing these wonderful photos.

🌸 Happy First Day of Spring! 🌸

Spring is blooming just around the corner from Mirabella Seattle — and the Washington Park Arboretum UW Botanic Gardens, only 2.7 miles from our community, is bursting with seasonal color. Mirabella resident Elston Hill captured these beautiful blooms, along with a few charming moments of local wildlife spotted nearby.

Thank you, Elston, for sharing your eye for nature and helping us welcome the start of spring! 📷
