The Harborview Injury Prevention and Research Center (HIPRC) is a worldwide leader in injury cause and prevention research. Founded in 1985, we are affiliated with the University of Washington and Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. Our faculty and staff are devoted to conducting research, education, and prevention programs aimed at diminishing the personal impact of trauma, and broadening the effectiveness of injury prevention and treatment programs regionally and nationally

HIPRC is excited to welcome the 2026 INSIGHT Summer Research Program Interns 🎉

This group of 15 undergraduate students from across the country will complete 8-weeks of hands-on research experience with injury and violence prevention faculty mentors.

Mark your calendars for the INSIGHT Research Symposium on August 6th, where our interns will present their research to the community. We can't wait to see what they accomplish this summer! ☀️
