The thing about lived experience is that it gets really messy sometimes, and people like to keep themselves curated.

But if you are wondering what is missing from the content these days, it’s the willingness to be dynamic in human form.

Happy birthday, October babies! 💎 Your birthstone is the gorgeous iridescent opal! Some theorize the name began in Greek, where opallios, meaning “to see a change in color,” was used to describe its colorful appearance. In ancient Rome, it was referred to as opalus or “precious jewel.”

At one time, the opal was said to be able to create invisibility powers for those who wore it. Ancient Greeks felt that opals would present the gift of prophecy—the ability to see into the future. Some believe in the opal’s power to improve or promote the health of the eyes.
