An exciting new chapter for HSDC 💙

We’re pleased to welcome Allie Rice as our next Executive Director, starting June 8. We’re thankful for Lindsay Klarman’s many years of leadership and all that she’s helped build—this next step continues that work forward.

LINDSAY: (HSDC) today announced the appointment of Allie Rice as its new Executive Director, effective June 8, 2026.

Rice brings more than sixteen years of leadership experience in nonprofit management, disability advocacy, strategic planning, community engagement, and organizational operations. Rice has held senior leadership roles with nationally recognized organizations, including Convo Communications, Gallaudet University, Deaf Community Services of San Diego (DCS), and the National Association of the Deaf (NAD). Throughout her career, she has led programs and teams focused on expanding accessibility, strengthening community partnerships, advancing disability rights, and improving services for Deaf, hard-of-hearing, deafblind, and disabled communities in the United States and internationally.

We are excited to welcome Allie to HSDC!
