It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Physical Therapist and colleague, Dr. Harmony Danner. Harmony worked in our Renton Clinic for 10 years.

Harmony was incredibly kind, intelligent, and strong, with a great laugh and a calming presence that made people feel safe, seen, and cared for. She was deeply committed to her patients and brought compassion into every interaction. Many were touched by her warmth—whether they worked closely with her or crossed paths only briefly.

Beyond the clinic, Harmony loved nature, hiking, camping, adventure, music, and time with friends and loved ones. We will always remember her fun Halloween costumes and the flowers she brought in from her garden—small gestures that reflected the joy and care she shared so freely.

Our thoughts are with Harmony’s loved ones, and all those whose lives she impacted. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Feel free to share any words or memories below.

IN OFFICE VISITS AVAILABLE FOR ESSENTIAL CONDITIONS and TELEHEALTH FOR AT HOME CARE

We want to make sure you are taken care of during this pandemic. We want you to receive help if in pain, and be able to improve your musculoskeletal complaints, whether from home or in our office, or both. We will remain open as long as we are able, for essential treatment and to provide Telehealth (TH) visits otherwise. We don’t want you to feel you have to go to the emergency department or to your doctor’s office and expose yourself to the virus. And we want those people’s time freed up to deal with the pandemic and seriously ill people. You can call us or email us for any musculoskeletal complaint you may have: low back pain, shoulder pain, sprained ankle/knee, or pelvic floor issues, to name a few. We will determine if we can do a TH visit or if you need an in person visit.

Can I have an Effective Visit with My Physical Therapist via Telehealth?

Absolutely! All you need is a device where we can see you. A PC or tablet is ideal, but even a phone will work in a pinch. Once we are face to face and get over the initial awkwardness of talking to each other through a device, it’s easy!
We will ask you all the questions we typically ask in our office. We will take your history. We will ask about things that might concern us (called “red flags”) and ensure that seeing us is the right place for you to be. We will discuss any other health care practitioners you have seen, what tests if any you’ve had done (like blood work, xrays, and MRI’s) along with the results if we have them.
We can watch you move (you might have to move your device around a bit for us to do this). We will have you perform movements that might help us understand what brings on or reduces your pain, or what you are limited in doing. For example, if your shoulder hurts, we’ll watch you move it in specific patterns. The same if it’s your back, we’ll just have you stand up. We might want to see if you can squat, reach, balance on one foot, or pick something up.
We will talk about what you are limited in doing in your daily life and come up with strategies to improve that. As an example, we may advise you on how to use ice/heat, where, and for how long if it’s something acute; or the best way to support yourself while sitting, and sleep positions to alleviate night pain.
We will provide you with exercises, whether to stretch, move into pain relieving positions, improve range of motion, or get stronger. We can send you these exercises electronically, via our exercise portal, and even direct you to online resources. We can follow up with you on your care plan, continue to monitor and adjust if you aren’t progressing, or advance your program if you are. It can totally be tailored to you. And we can combine in office visits with telehealth visits, for as long as we are open during the COVID-19 crisis. Should we have to close, we will continue to offer telehealth throughout the pandemic.
Warmly,
Your Peak Sports and Spine Physical Therapy Care Providers

All of us at Peak Sports & Spine are in the same position as everyone else with concerns about the very local cases of the Coronavirus.
We are taking every possible step to protect our patients as well as ourselves from the virus. We have been cleaning more frequently with Clorox wipes and our industrial cleaner on the tables, gym equipment, and office spaces. There are more bottles of Purell out in the office for all to use, along with units next to each door in treatment rooms. We will continue this through out the days to come.
If you are concerned about your appointment, please give us a call and we can discuss options. We’d still prefer to know if you are unwell and can adjust schedules accordingly.
As a reminder, make sure to wash your hands with soap and water regularly, and use hand sanitizer frequently. Cover your mouth if you cough or sneeze and avoid touching your face and mouth as much as possible.
