Also this year, I had the privilege of participating in two deeply meaningful advanced professional trainings.
#1 - In May, I attended Esther Perel’s Sessions Live 2026: Cultivating Aliveness—Desire & Its Disruptions in New York City.
This two-day training explored intimacy, desire, communication, relational disconnection, and ways of helping individuals and couples restore curiosity, play, vitality, and aliveness in their relationships.
#2 - I also completed “Mysterium—The Homecoming: Beyond Cultural Competency—A Return to the Rootstock”, a five-day residential intensive with Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estés, author of Women Who Run With the Wolves.
Through storytelling, myth, archetypal and dream work, somatic awareness, and Jungian and depth-psychology traditions, we explored identity, belonging, inherited survival patterns, cultural displacement, and intergenerational trauma.
A central theme was “decontamination”: loosening inherited expectations and cultural messages that can separate us from our instincts, imagination, wisdom, and inner authority.
Both experiences continue to deepen how I work with relationships, trauma, identity, cultural inheritance, and the parts of ourselves that have been silenced, doubted, exiled, or forgotten.
