This is a huge way Ian Hamilton supports me regularly, but tonight was a BIG deal. Today was the last day of my FIRST DECADE as a doula, and I spent it helping a family bring their new baby earthside. It was so special. Tomorrow, my very first doula baby turns 10, and start my 11th year as a doula. There have been innumerable, unimaginable twists and turns along the way. So much joy and heartbreak that has left me breathless. It’s physically demanding and emotional draining. Yet I have never been bored and I have never stopped loving this work. I couldn’t have dreamed that I would end this decade in the MOST beautiful partnership (Jet City Doulas), surrounded by support…but that’s how I started too, thanks to my home crew, Michael Coppinger & Mariah Falin. I am so grateful to be invited in to the lives of over 300 families, and thrilled to see what the next decade holds.
