In order to heal after a loss, we must shift the relationship with the one who has died from one of physical presence to one of memory. That's why a personalized funeral or memorial service is so important.

A service gives everyone the time and space they need to remember and honor a beloved person’s life, begin to accept what has happened, and receive support from loving people. The visitation, eulogy, gathering, and committal service all come together to create a special moment where saying goodbye is poignant and possible.
