🌿 Resource Toolbox Inventory 🌿
We often notice the resources we are missing before recognizing the ones we already have.
Taking inventory can help make existing skills, strengths, supports, and coping resources more visible—and potentially easier to access when stress increases.
🛠 Skill: Resource Toolbox Inventory
(Strengths-Based Resourcing + DBT Skills Generalization)
Pause and consider:
• Skills: What helps me regulate, ground, problem-solve, or manage distress?
• Strengths: What qualities or abilities have helped me through difficult situations before?
• People: Who helps me feel supported, understood, or connected?
• Practices: What routines, activities, environments, or sensory experiences help me feel more steady?
• Supports: What professional or community resources can I reach for when I need additional help?
💭 Reflection:
Which resources are easiest for me to access—and which ones do I tend to forget are available?
Knowing your toolbox does not mean every resource will fit every moment.
It helps make your options easier to recognize when you need them.
