What a day! The Ehinger Center at Drew University was filled with passionate professionals for “Building Breastfeeding Support: From Evidence to Practice.” The lactation conference featured illuminating presentations by Cecilia Tomori, PhD, Johns Hopkins University, and Dr. Radhika Kapoor, DDS, Smile Wellness, an inspiring address from Congresswoman LaMonica McIver, a captivating panel discussion, and an update from New Jersey State Breastfeeding Coordinator Ellen Maughan, JD, IBCLC. Attendees engaged in impactful discussions, explored resources and innovations in lactation support, and reinforced the day's common theme: working together across disciplines is the best way to support breastfeeding mothers and families. Thank you to our speakers, panelists, planning committee, and attendees for their ongoing commitment to improving maternal and child health outcomes. Happy Breastfeeding Month!

What an incredible afternoon at our Doula Dialogues: A Community Doula Event! 💜

Doulas and representatives from 14 community organizations came together in Newark to learn, connect, and share resources that support families across New Jersey. From expert discussions and practice-building tips to wellness demonstrations and sweet treats from The Urban Cone, it was a day of collaboration and community. Thank you to all our partners who joined us!

We had a fantastic time at our Excellence Family Success Center’s Cooking on a Budget workshop with Chef Anthony from Michelle’s Catering! Families learned how to prepare three healthy, affordable meals, enjoyed recipe samples, received take-home groceries, and picked up valuable cooking tips in both English and Spanish.

A huge thank you to Michelle’s Catering, including Co-Founder Michelle D’Anna, Co-Founder and Executive Chef Anthony D’Anna, and Head Chef Steven Adamo, for such a fantastic, educational, and tasty presentation!
