Summer has begun which means it’s seems like everyone, including Bruno, are posting “picture perfect” photos of their adventures. It’s easy to get sucked into the scroll.
To find yourself longing to be somewhere exotic.
To find yourself comparing yourself,or your adventures, to someone else’s.
To find yourself taking 100 photos with the sun setting behind you and miss the sunset entirely.
While this photo of Bruno may be “picture perfect” and he’s had some adventures this year, it doesn’t capture what’s really going on his life.
It doesn’t capture the day to day.
It doesn’t capture vet visits.
It doesn’t capture having to teach Meghann’s puppy, Tula, how to behave.
It doesn’t capture how amazing, but also exhausting, it can be to have 30 visitors every Tuesday and Wednesday.
So in those moments of comparison remember that life is full of moments. Some of them are picture perfect. But most of them aren’t, and simply make up the picture that is our lives.
