Can you do all 3? Balance can be trained but most adults aren’t using it so they’re losing it. The single-leg hip hinge is one of my favorite exercises for building strength, balance and stability. It strengthens the glutes, hamstrings and core while improving hip control and coordination between both sides of the body.

Keep a soft bend in your standing knee, hinge from the hip and maintain a long, neutral spine as the opposite leg extends behind you. Move slowly and keep your eyes locked in on a focal point. Standing on a block activates your stabilizing muscles as your foot, ankle, hip, and core work together to keep you balanced.

When I was 3 years old, I jumped off a table and broke my femur. 11 years later, I was in a traumatic ATV accident. I could have died, but luckily, I only broke my ankle.

I started high school on crutches. Kids made fun of me, and I was bullied. I believed I was weak and broken. Not good enough. Not worthy.

For years, I lived with chronic pain, mobility restrictions, and depression. Then, in my early twenties, I walked past a yoga studio and decided to take a class.

That one decision completely changed my life.

Over time, yoga helped me heal my pain, restore the mobility I had lost, and feel confident and capable in my body again.

I’ve spent the last decade practicing almost every single day, studying, teaching, and devoting my life to helping others understand that our bodies are designed to heal.

And thanks to the combination of yoga and strength training, at almost 40 years old, I feel better than I did when I was 20.

Being able to move your body is a gift and a privilege. As someone who knows what it feels like to be unable to walk, I will never take that gift for granted.

Move because you can.
Move because your body was designed to.
Move because there may come a day when you wish you had appreciated the privilege of movement more.

Your body is not broken. It is capable of becoming stronger, more mobile, and more resilient than you realize.

Mindful movement gave me my life back. Now, I have the honor of helping others reclaim theirs.

Women, listen up 📣 I’m sorry to inform you, but yoga and Pilates aren’t enough. Cardio isn’t enough. You need to be loading your bones.

You don’t have to start heavy or be perfect. Just pick up a set of weights that feel manageable, learn good form, and build gradually. It’s never too late to start.

The armpits contain clusters of axillary lymph nodes that filter lymph draining from the arms, shoulders, chest and upper back. As you move your arms and shoulders, the surrounding muscles contract and release, helping lymphatic fluid flow.

Your arms and shoulders carry the power to move lymph, support your immune system, and keep you feeling your best.

Comment CLASS and I’ll send you a FREE mindful movement routine.
