"This past summer, the SAYLA Class of 2026 took on a meaningful community service project at the Thriving Hearts Crisis Center. After raising $1,400 through their car wash fundraiser, our SAYLA students rolled up their sleeves and put those funds to work making meaningful improvements to the center.
Their project included new comforter and towel sets, bathroom organizers and necessities, fresh paint, pressure washing, outdoor lighting, a new bike for residents, repairs, and more—all with the goal of creating a more comfortable, welcoming, and peaceful environment for the families who rely on the center.
These may seem like small changes, but they can make a temporary space feel a little more like home. We are incredibly proud of our SAYLA students for demonstrating leadership, compassion, and a true commitment to serving their community. Their hard work made a meaningful difference! ❤️

Thriving Hearts Crisis Center is beyond grateful for SAYLA's wonderful support. “SAYLA didn’t just revitalize our shelter—they strengthened the hope, dignity, and healing that every survivor deserves. The heart, compassion, and leadership they demonstrated will be felt long after this project is complete, creating a more welcoming place where survivors and their children can begin their journey toward healing. Their generosity will leave a lasting impact on every life that walks through our doors,” Jana Evans, THCC CEO shared.
