✔ Ask questions
✔ Ask your provider to explain something again
✔ Write down important instructions
✔ Make sure you understand how and when to take your medications
✔ Bring someone you trust to an appointment when helpful

STRONG BONES START LONG BEFORE A FALL.

We often think about our bones when something goes wrong: a fall, a fracture, or a painful injury. But bone health deserves attention before that happens. As we get older, keeping our bones strong becomes even more important.

Simple habits can help:

✔ Stay physically active
✔ Get enough calcium and vitamin D
✔ Include appropriate strength or weight-bearing activities
✔ Make your home safer to reduce fall risks
✔ Talk with your healthcare provider about your bone health and osteoporosis risk

Osteoporosis can weaken bones without obvious symptoms. Take action today, and ask whether an osteoporosis screening or assessment may be right for you.

The American Dental Association recommends brushing twice a day for two minutes with fluoride toothpaste and cleaning between your teeth once a day with floss or another interdental cleaner. So this October, give your smile a little extra attention:

✔ Brush twice a day
✔ Clean between your teeth daily
✔ Keep up with dental checkups
