We’re excited and thankful for a new connection we’ve made with the folks at Cob Foods! We love what they’re doing with sorghum grain and the creative ways they’re helping introduce this incredible crop to more people.
Here at the Wewoka Sorghum Festival, our tradition has always centered around sweet sorghum—growing the cane, pressing the juice, and cooking it down into the sorghum molasses that has been at the heart of our festival for generations.
But there’s so much more to sorghum! 🌾
Sorghum grain can be popped, cooked, milled into flour, baked with, and turned into all kinds of foods and snacks. It’s also naturally gluten-free, a whole grain, and a source of fiber, protein, antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals.
That’s one of the reasons we’re so excited about what Cob is doing. They’re taking sorghum grain and turning it into some seriously good snacks while helping more people discover just how versatile this crop can be.
And if you’d like to give Cob a try, our friends at Seminole Drug carry some of their products locally! Stop by, grab a bag, and experience another way to enjoy sorghum.
We love seeing this crop continue to bring people together in new ways!
