This will probably be one of the hardest posts I’ve had to make. (Sorry in advance for the longggg post)
I’d like to start by saying: For those of you who don’t know, I have been on treatment for Lyme disease since last November and have also been diagnosed with Bartonella (co-infection to Lyme disease). I have been struggling on and off with my health since I was about 18/19…so almost a decade at this point. However, last year, I got drastically worse. Last fall, I found a functional medicine facility in Oak Ridge called Docere Functional Health through a woman named Valerie Fox (introduced to me by Kaitlin Gaff through our lifegroup❤️). I truly believe God allowed me to meet her at the perfect time. For years, I never knew what was wrong with me. Was told by doctors that I was just stressed/anxious and everything on my labs came back “normal,” so honestly I had told myself at some point it was all in my head and gave up on trying to go see anyone for help and waste time/money. Wrote off most of the things that I felt on a daily basis because I thought they were “normal.” Until I went to visit Valerie. At that time last year, I was starting to get so ill that I wasn’t sure I’d be able to keep working, at least not full time and was cutting back on days at work. After buying a house with my husband last year, cutting back on work at that time wasn’t ideal to say the least lol.
Thank God that the treatment I’ve been on through Docere has helped me function on a day-to-day basis!! I’m able to work and not have as many flare ups, and even when I do, they’re not as bad. I don’t have as many bad days as I used to. There is still a long road ahead because, although, I’m doing much better than I was, I’m still struggling a lot of days. But praise God for His mercy and His healing!!!🙏🏻 Jehovah Rapha!
Now, I didn’t make this post to get sympathy or feel sorry for myself, I promise you 😂
This is just background info for the main point to this post…
Which is…
After almost 7 years, I have decided to shut down my Sevierville location. (I am still keeping my Jefferson City location @ Elysium Training for those of you who live near/want to drive there!)
I will still be working in Sevierville so I can still keep seeing all of Sevierville clients!💗 I will just be 7 mins down the road at Sevierville Massage Therapy! Those of you who on here are clients of mine, I would be honored if you’d be willing to follow me on this new journey 🫶🏻 I truly love all my clients and have built such great connections/relationships with all of you over these nearly 7 years! I hope and pray I’ll be able to continue those client relationships with all of you, just at a different location!
I’ve prayed and prayed about this decision because, although I know this is where God is leading me, it has not been an easy decision to make, but I trust the Lord’s plan over mine. I need to take this extra time that I will have to focus on getting healthy enough to start our own family.
I can’t express enough how grateful and blown away I am by the support that I’ve had from all of you for my business over the years. I know I get my love of poetry from the Lord, and what’s more poetic than knowing 7 is the number of perfection/completion. Seven great years of Vera in Sevierville. I love each and every one of you so much! Thank you for taking the time to read this post. 💗
P.S. If you have any prepaid massages with me (gift certificates, packages, giveaways, etc.), make sure those are schedule before mid-June!! If they’re not used by then, you’re welcome to drive to my Jeff City location and I will honor them there!
