We’re excited to invite families and friends to join us for a special Grandparents Day Party! 🥰👵👴

🎉 Snacks • Games • Family Fun • Making Memories Together!

We’d love for our residents’ families to come celebrate the special grandparents in their lives and enjoy an afternoon filled with laughter, love, and memories! ❤️

🎨 Coloring Sheets for the Grandkids & Family!

We have attached some special coloring sheets that you’re welcome to print for your residents’ grandchildren, great-grandchildren, or any other family members who would like to participate! 🖍️💕

Finished coloring sheets can be:

📬 Mailed back to us
🏡 Dropped off at Freedom before September 18th if you can’t make the party
🎉 Brought to the party to hand-deliver to your loved one if you’ll be joining us!

Whether you can celebrate with us in person or send a little piece of love from home, we hope you’ll take part in making this Grandparents Day extra special for our residents. 💕 Every drawing, visit, hug, and memory means so much!

💗 REMEMBERING OUR SMOKY MOUNTAIN QUEEN 💗

The staff of Freedom Senior Living proudly wore pink or their favorite Dolly shirts as we came together to remember and honor a woman who meant so much to our community. 🦋

Dolly Parton’s impact on Sevier County goes far beyond her music. Through her generosity, compassion, and unwavering love for the place she called home, she showed us what it truly means to give back.

Her life reminds us that one person truly can make a difference in this world. One act of kindness can inspire another. One helping hand can change a life. And one person who chooses to love and support their community can create a legacy that reaches generations.

Here at Freedom Senior Living, kindness, compassion, and caring for others are at the heart of what we do. As we remember our Smoky Mountain Queen, we hope to continue carrying a little bit of Dolly with us each day — loving our neighbors, supporting our community, extending a helping hand, and doing our part to make this world a little brighter.

💗 Her legacy isn’t only in the music she gave us — it’s in the kindness she inspired us to give one another.

🎉🧁 August Birthday Bash! 🧁🎉

We had the sweetest time celebrating our wonderful August birthday girls, Ms. Hazel & Ms. Louise! 💕🎂

Our celebration was filled with cupcakes, music, dancing, laughter, and lots of smiles! 🥳💃🕺

A huge THANK YOU to Shareece with Gentiva Hospice for providing the delicious cupcakes and to Steve Canfield for keeping our toes tapping with some wonderful live music! 🎶❤️ Our residents absolutely LOVE listening and dancing along to Steve’s music, and we are so grateful for the kindness you both show our Freedom family! 🥰

We especially love opportunities like our Birthday Bash because they give us a chance to celebrate our residents, build community, create meaningful connections, and fill our days with joy. 💗 For our residents living with dementia and Alzheimer’s, music, movement, social interaction, and familiar celebrations can also provide wonderful opportunities for engagement and cognitive stimulation. 🧠🎶✨

And of course, we had quite a few ladies & gents sporting pink in honor of the one and only Dolly Parton 💕🎀. Dolly passed away on August 25, and our residents wanted to celebrate her memory with a little extra pink, sparkle, and love. 🌸✨

Here’s to another year of celebrating our residents, their stories, and all the joy they bring to Freedom! 🥰🎂🎶💗

Crafting is more than just a fun activity—it can provide opportunities for sensory stimulation, creativity, focus, and meaningful engagement, helping our residents stay connected and active in the moment. 🧠✨
Most importantly, it gives them a chance to create, express themselves, and enjoy the feeling of accomplishment. 🥰🍁

This Friday, August 28th, we invite everyone to join Freedom Senior Living to WEAR PINK in memory of a woman who gave Sevier County so much more than her beautiful music.

Dolly Parton gave back to the place she called home through her kindness, generosity, opportunities for children and families, and a love for her community that never faded. She showed the world that no matter how far you go, you can always remember where you came from. 🦋

This is our simple way of saying thank you, Dolly—for the music, the memories, the laughter, the opportunities, and most of all, the love you poured into Sevier County and its people.

🎒🐝 Our Freedom Worker Bees are back at it! 🐝🎒

Our residents had the sweetest time putting together Back-to-School Care Packages for the kindergarten students at Mooreland Heights Elementary! 💙 Each pencil bag was packed with 2 pencils, 1 eraser, 1 pack of crayons, stickers, and a small toy—just a little bundle of supplies to help make the first days of school extra special! ✏️🖍️⭐

Our residents look forward to doing this every year, and it’s easy to see why! ❤️ Many of our residents spent their working years in jobs where they were helping others, serving their communities, and making a difference, so opportunities like this allow them to continue that same spirit of giving. Activities that let our residents use their time and talents to give back are so meaningful to them—and they do it with so much joy! 🥰🐝

A huge THANK YOU to Mooreland Heights Elementary for allowing us to be a part of your school year! We hope these little care packages bring some extra smiles to your kindergarteners. 🎒💛

Our residents had another wonderful time enjoying some good ol’ country tunes from Steve Carr! ❤️

Steve comes to visit us every month to share his music, and our residents always love listening, singing along, reminiscing, and dancing to his songs! 💃🕺🎤

Music is especially meaningful for individuals living with dementia and Alzheimer’s. Familiar songs can help spark memories, encourage self-expression, lift moods, and create moments of connection—even when words and memories become difficult. 🧠🎵❤️

A BIG thank you to Steve for always taking the time to come visit us each month and fill our dining room with music, smiles, and so much joy! We appreciate you more than you know! 🥰🎶🤠

😴🩷 National Lazy Day done right! 🩷😴

Our residents and staff celebrated National Lazy Day in the coziest way possible — Pajama Day! 💤🧸☕️

We started our morning with coffee, donuts & some relaxing coloring time, then settled in for an afternoon movie complete with plenty of popcorn! 🍩☕️🎨🎬🍿

And of course, our staff joined in on the fun by rocking their PJs to work, too! 👏🏼😂 There’s nothing better than a day filled with comfort, laughter, good treats, and even better company! 💕✨

Our residents had a float-tastic time celebrating National Root Beer Float Day with this classic, frosty treat! 😋 From the fizzy root beer to the creamy scoop of ice cream, every sip brought smiles, laughter, and a little taste of nostalgia. 💛
