Exciting updates!
This practice has come a long ways since the small 1-night a week counseling practice that it started as back in 2017. Since then, Michael Craytor finished his doctorate and started a fellowship in pediatric neuropsychology, and is now open full time for counseling and assessment, serving the entire state of Alaska. Seems like a good time to give the practice a real name: Welcome to Arctic Tern Psychology!
What's new?
Specialized treatment for youth with ADHD, ODD, ASD, FASD
Behavioral Parent Training! The #1 evidence-based treatment for children with inattention or behavior challenges and part of the gold-standard treatment model for ADHD.
Programs for mastering adult ADHD!
Coming in January - local pediatric neuropsychological assessments in Seward! Talk to your primary care provider for a referral.
What's the same?
Still providing neuro-informed counseling for adults and adolescents.
Still providing EMDR and specialized trauma treatment.
Telehealth is still an option for all services except for EMDR.
Audrey-3 the Bird of Paradise is still thriving in an Alaskan office, but has not yet bloomed.

The Kenai Peninsula Borough School District (KPBSD) provides free screening for children 3 through 5 years old (not yet in kindergarten)

Areas screened include: speech and language, learning and understanding, coordination and movement, social-emotional skills, self-helping skills (feeding, dressing, and toileting), vision or hearing.

Children already identified with disabilities should also be screened if not receiving special education services through the district.

Wow, been a big year. I went back to school in 2018 to get my doctorate and finally finished classes last month! My schedule has shifted around so that I can work in Wasilla 2 days a week (pediatric neuropsychology internship), but I'll still have the same availability in Seward. Monday nights will be telehealth nights, and I'll be in person (in Seward) Thursdays and Fridays.
