Now a subsidiary of Allegheny Health Network, NorthWest EMS is one of Allegheny County’s largest Emergency Medical Service providers, offering emergency medical care and ambulance transport.

NorthWest EMS is composed of Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs), Advanced Emergency Medical Technicians (AEMTs), Paramedics, Prehospital RNs (PHRNs) and support staff. We have licensed Advanced Life Support ambulances, Advanced Life Support response vehicles and a utility support vehicle. In addition to transporting sick or injured patients and providing treatment to those in need, NorthWest EMS is also responsible for providing medical coverage for special events throughout the communities we serve.

Following last week's exciting affiliation, AHN leadership was on hand this week to personally connect and celebrate with our team members at employee celebration events. They brought delicious locally baked cookies, ice cream and handed out "Stronger Together" t-shirts! We're very excited for this new chapter and are excited to be part of the AHN Family!

To allow our team time to celebrate with family and friends, Heritage Valley’s Medical Neighborhoods will be operating with reduced hours on July 3 and July 4. On Friday, July 3, all sites will be open from 8 am – 3:30 pm for ConvenientCare, Lab and Radiology services only. All physician practice offices and outpatient rehab locations will be closed.

On Saturday, July 4, the following four Medical Neighborhoods will be open from 8 am – 3:30 pm for ConvenientCare, Lab and Radiology services only: Chippewa; Center Township; Edgeworth; and Robinson Township.

Please plan accordingly, and thank you for trusting us with your care. We wish everyone a safe, Healthy, and happy Independence Day holiday!
