One of the biggest misconceptions about prenatal chiropractic care is that we’re trying to physically “flip” a breech baby.
We’re not.
The goal of prenatal chiropractic care is to support optimal nervous system function, balanced pelvic biomechanics, and reduced tension in the surrounding muscles and ligaments. When a baby has the room to move and the environment is balanced, they may choose to move into a head-down position on their own.
We don’t force.
We don’t manipulate babies.
We support the mother’s body so it can function the way it was designed.
A breech presentation can happen for many reasons, and no healthcare provider can guarantee a baby will turn. But creating the best possible environment for both mom and baby? That’s always worth supporting.
