A little look back at Popp’s Apothecary & Oddities right before we opened our doors.

The floors were done.
The walls were painted.
The shelves were painted.
And we were finally starting to get everything organized and all the goodies into place. 🌿☕🔮

There was still plenty to do, but this was one of those moments where it finally started to feel real.

Seeing the shop come together piece by piece was exciting, exhausting, and a little surreal—and looking back now, it’s amazing to see how much has changed since then.

From those mostly empty shelves to the shop you see today, every corner has grown, changed, and collected a little more magick along the way. ✨

Our handcrafted Beard Oils are made in small batches right here at Popp’s Apothecary & Oddities in Southern Oregon with grapeseed oil, dandelion-infused oil, and jojoba oil to help soften facial hair and moisturize the skin underneath.

Choose your scent:

A warm, smoky, earthy blend of sandalwood and vetiver.

🌲 Forest Man
A crisp, woodsy blend of clary sage and balsam pine, reminiscent of wandering beneath towering evergreens.

🌿✨ Saturday Card Pull: 9 of Wands + Wheel of Fortune Reversed ✨🌿

Today’s reading started with a jumper.

The 9 of Wands flew out while I was shuffling, followed by my intentional pull—the Wheel of Fortune reversed.

And together, these two have quite a message.

The 9 of Wands is resilience. It’s the energy of “I’ve made it this far, and I’m still standing.” You may be tired. You may have had setbacks. You may even be wondering how much longer you can keep pushing—but you haven’t come this far for nothing.

Then comes the Wheel of Fortune reversed. 🎡

Sometimes things don’t move according to our timeline. Plans stall. Circumstances outside our control interfere. Or we find ourselves facing the same lesson or pattern yet again.

But maybe today’s message isn’t simply “keep pushing.”

Maybe it’s:

🌿 Protect your energy.
🔥 Remember what you’ve already survived.
🎡 Pay attention to patterns that keep repeating.
✨ Accept what you cannot control—but notice what you CAN change.

Persistence doesn’t always mean continuing to do the same thing.

Sometimes resilience means recognizing that the wheel isn’t turning because we’re being asked to do something differently.

So today’s question is:

What cycle are you ready to stop repeating?

A new month is here, and one of my favorite seasons is getting closer. 🖤

September always feels like the beginning of something special—the air starts to shift, the evenings get a little cooler, and nature begins showing off some of her most beautiful colors. 🍁🌿

There’s just something magical about this time of year.
