Meet Angela, the first baby born at the new St. Francis campus in 1996! The doors opened on July 24 and she was born the next day, July 25th. At the time, her father Jim was working as a staff RN in the St. Francis Emergency Department. He says the staff were as great as always, and they seemed just as excited as he and his wife Maria were!

Angela has been an RN for 8 years and her husband, Noah, is in school to become a CRNA.

St. Francis Capable Kids staff recently held a Youth Mental Health First Aid training for its team. The training taught staff how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges in youth ages 12-18.

With an increase in mental health needs for your in our community, our staff are now equipped with a tool kit for how to build trust and rapport in effort to support a safe space for patients to share with a trained adult.

The training is thanks to the Saints Foundation and generous donors who made this possible!
