A huge thank you to FPL and the 14,000 linemen working hard to restore power across our communities. We are so grateful for the long hours, dedication and sacrifice it takes to get the lights back on.

Hawthorn House is safe and doing well! 💙
All of our residents are safe and as comfortable as possible, and Hawthorn House is operating on generator power.
Cell towers are currently down, so communication may be limited. Please don’t be alarmed if you have difficulty reaching us.
A huge thank you to our incredible Hawthorn House team for the amazing job they have done caring for our residents before, during and after the storm. We are so grateful for them!

Our offices are closed today as Hurricane Isaias moves through our area, but our residents remain our top priority. 🌀💙

Our village has been secured and staff are focused on keeping residents safe, comfortable, and informed.

WE’RE PREPARED.
We know that when severe weather approaches, one question weighs heavily on your mind:
“Is my loved one safe?”
We want you to know that our team is preparing for Tropical Storm Isaias and closely monitoring the storm and guidance from local officials.
Our staff are reviewing emergency procedures, checking supplies, securing our facilities, and making sure we are prepared to respond as conditions change.
If you are local and would like to pick up your loved one and have them stay with you during the storm, please contact us and let us know that your loved one will be leaving with you. This helps us keep accurate records and account for all of our residents.
At Hawthorn House, caring for our residents is what we do every day—and that commitment becomes even more important when severe weather threatens our community.
We will continue to share important updates here as they become available.
Please keep our residents, staff, and the Northwest Florida community in your thoughts as we prepare.
Your loved ones are our loved ones, too.

🐾💙 We had a special visitor at Hawthorn House!
Cody the therapy dog made his rounds, sharing cuddles, smiles, and plenty of tail wags with our residents. From snuggles to belly rubs, Cody was a big hit. He even got so caught up spreading joy that he briefly interrupted a resident's pedicure appointment! 🐶💅
Thank you, Cody, for brightening our day and reminding us that sometimes the best therapy comes with four paws and a wagging tail. ❤️
